Dodge’s new beastly vehicle called the Challenger Demon will be unveiled in about one week, and we cannot wait to see it. While we are waiting for it, Hennessey has put in work and already produced Demon’s rival called Exorcist. Hennessey Performance (HPE) introduces their newest super muscle car, that’s right, The Exorcist. 1000hp monster out of the new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The Exorcist package will be available for both the 10-speed automatics and the 6 speed manual versions of the ZL1. Although the automatics do require an additional cost of just under $10,000 for a beefed up version to handle all that power.

Less than a week at the auto show in new York will host the debut track coupe Dodge Challenger Demon with a motor capacity of about 750 and 800 horsepower matched with 315-series, And so for nearly three months! In response, the sparkle in the hell chryslerautos specialists Texas the Studio Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) has prepared the car with a clever name Exorcist — the exorcist.

ZL1 1LE will be the main muscle car monster. It is built to be more of an all around performer than Hennessey’s Exorcist Camaro. The Exorcist will definately rip a ZL1 1LE to shreds in a straight line, but that dominance might not carry over to the track side. As mentioned earlier, Hennessey’s Camaro ZL1 Exorcist upgrade will cost $55,000 but it comes with a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty . The optional road race pack includes a set of 20 inch light weight Hennessey wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires at the cost of $6,995.

John Hennessey wants to rid the Demon…with horsepower. Meet ‘ The Exorcist’ , the Texan tuner’s 1,000hp Camaro ZL1 , and Hennessey’s answer to Dodge’s Demon. All this to fight a yet-to-be-released Dodge Demon, which is poised to make the Hellcat look like a whimpering kitten. But like the Camaro SS 1LE, the ZL1 1LE will only be available with a six-speed manual transmission. Power is increased via a series of engine modifications, including a larger, higher flowing supercharger & intercooler system producing 14 psi of boost pressure.

Hennessey Exorcist on racing tires can accelerate to 60 mph (97 km/h) in less than three seconds, and scoring the distance of a quarter mile (402 m) he flies in less than ten seconds. However in the Studio I emphasize that, despite the track habits, the machine is quite suitable for daily use on public roads.

The problem is it’s an apple to oranges comparison. The Dodge is a factory stock performance car. The Camaro is an aftermarket modified car. Lets send the Dodge out for $55k worth of tweaking and then compare. The demon is just insanity. The horsepower race it just getting crazy. Even in the diesel trucks its crazy. We have trucks coming with nearly 1000 Ft/lbs of torque. We have sports cars running single digits from the factory! What a great time to be alive. Anyone know what a new ZL1 will run with a drag radial/slick?
